Stay the Course

I couldn't catch a fly ball when I was younger, and they laughed. 

I batted last on my travel team for years. 

People had comments of my journey , my failures, and my success. 

I used all this as motivation, building self-confidence thru hard work and dedication.

I long tossed when no one looked, I hit the weight room when other didn’t, I concentrated on my diet, I cheered for others and their success, I was a good teammate, I was coachable, I stayed humble. 

Most importantly I kept my faith in the lord.

Finally, when it was my time, I allowed them to hear my roar.

I Stayed my course.
